To save panel space in tight-fitting applications, the SW44635 potentiometer switch offers both rotary and push-on/push-off functionality plus LED backlighting. The DPDT switch allows users to specify a value so that the circuit or channel automatically opens at a preset level at the push of a button. Two discrete LEDs backlight the translucent knob in all standard LED colors. Previous models were available only for edge-lit panel installations. Weighing less than 1 oz. and measuring less than 1 in. in diameter, the SW44635 requires approximately 3 in. of space behind the display panel and mounts using two screws into the front panel. Connections are made either by wire leads or by solder terminals. The switch is rated at 30 V dc or 120 V ac, 2.0 A resistive or 0.5 A inductive. Standard potentiometer resistance in 10 kO ±10% but can be customer-specified. Operating pressure is 32 oz. (±16 oz.), and plunger travel is about 0.24 in. Switch life is rated at 50,000 minimum actuations. The SW44635 costs $29.00 to $35.00 each in quantities of 1000, depending on options. Delivery is in 10 to 12 weeks.
