The 6000 Series consists of six portable digital-storage oscilloscopes (DSOs) and six mixed-signal oscilloscopes, four of which debut as the first portable instruments to provide a 1 GHz bandwidth. These include the 1 GHz DSO6102A and DSO6104A DSOs with two and four channels and the 1 GHz MSO6102A and MSO6104A MSOs with 2+16 and 4+16 channels, respectively. Four other DSOs and MSOs in the series offer bandwidths of 300 MHz and 500 MHz. Each instrument employs patented MegaZoom III display technology, which provides real-time, high-resolution XGA waveform viewing with 256 levels of color intensity grades and memory depth up to 8 Mpoints. Other shared features include LAN, GP-IB, and USB interfaces as well as an additional front-panel USB port. Prices range from $5,595 to $8,795 (300 MHz), $8,195 to $12,995 (500 MHz), and $12,195 to $16,995 (1 GHz). Memory upgrades start at $500 and user-installable DSO-to-MSO upgrade kits start at $1,800.
