Relying on packaging color to boost either contrast or brightness, the company’s latest MultiLEDs target high-resolution video display applications requiring high color fidelity from all viewing angles. A jet-black package version enables a higher contrast level and depth of color for indoor applications while a white-package component boosts overall brightness. The MultiLED with black packaging offers a typical luminance of 2,000 cd/m² and a pixel spacing of 5 mm to 7 mm. In the white package, the white point is at 2,000 mcd. Both versions employ high-power chips featuring the latest thin-film and ThinGaN technology and a six-lead design, ensuring effective heat removal and enabling currents of 15 mA per color, even at an ambient temperature of +85°C.
