The PI3VDP411LS Display Port-to-DVI/HDMI bridge addresses the next generation of high-definition video interfaces for the digital-video market. The device converts four differential, low-swing ac-coupled inputs to HDMI rev 1.3 compliant outputs. It features a 5V to 3.3V DDC and HPD level shifter, HDMI level-shifting operation up to 2.5 Gb/s per lane, and integrated termination resistors for ac-coupled differential inputs. Also announced, the company’s PCIe Gen2 ReDriver signal-conditioning technology promises to extend a 5-Gb/s differential trace pair, minimizing bit error rate and restoring the original signal quality. The PI3VDP411LS bridge is available now in lead-free and green packaging; the PCIe Gen2 ReDrivers will be available in mass production in Q1, 2008. Pricing for the PI3VDP411LS is $1.50 each/10,000.
