A new high-performance oscilloscope platform employing "digitizer-on-a-chip" technology is said to offer faster sampling rate and longer memory at lower prices. Targeted at the 500 MHz to 2 GHz bandwidth range, the new WavePro series also incorporates a WavePilot feature that is claimed to make it very easy to obtain measurements and display the results with graphing tools. This provides quick insights into signal behavior needed for troubleshooting design problems.
Three DSOs make up the series, the models 940, 950 and 960. The latter combines 2 GHz bandwidth with a sampling rate of 4 GS/s on each channel. The sampling rate can be increased to 16 GS/s when acquiring one signal. Standard memory is 250 kpoints/channel. Prices of the 940, 950 and 960 are $16,490, $19,990 and $31,990, respectively.
