Within its class, the FSG spectrum analyzer is said to achieve benchmark levels of performance and feature integration. The instrument operates from 9 kHz to 8 GHz or 13.6 GHz with one-button selection of standards-compliant measurements for all wireless standards including fixed and mobile WiMAX. It is available in two models: the FSG8 (9 kHz to 8 GHz) and the FSG13 (9 kHz to 13.6 GHz). Both rely on a Windows XP-based architecture and support GSM, WCDMA, CDMA20001xRTT, TD-SCDMA, HSPA, Bluetooth, IEEE 802.11a/b/g, and fixed and mobile WiMAX standards. Other features include a demodulation bandwidth of 28 MHz, an I/Q memory of 4 Msamples, a dynamic range of 170 dB from the instruments' 1-dB compression point to its displayed average noise level of -145 dBm (10 Hz), phase noise at a 640-MHz carrier frequency of -120 dBc/Hz (10-kHz offset) and -138 dBc/Hz (1-MHz offset), RF output level of +25 dBm, and a 1-dB-compression point of +13 dBm.
