A new version of Monterey Linux has been developed for Texas Instruments' line of digital media processors. These processors combine an Arm CPU and a C54x DSP. A one-time licensing fee of $1500 covers this GPL-licensed implementation. The package includes GNU development tools, U-Boot boot loader, and support for integrated peripherals like an on-screen display. This implementation is based on the Linux 2.4 kernel.
