Compact Raster Scanners Make Bar Code Reading Easier

In addition to providing greater variance in the manner in which the bar code is presented to the reader, these raster scanners also can scan a greater cross-section of the bar code. V550 scanners focus their lasers at eight segments of the bar code being read to enable more reliable read rates by sampling a larger cross-section of the bar code. The technology also allows for greater flexibility in the alignment of the bar code. With the scanner and decoder integrated into one compact package, the V550-A20 fixed position laser scanners have dimensions of only 2.56"L x 2.12"W x 1.41"H. These NEMA 12 rated enclosed scanners are small and sturdy enough to installation in harsh, space-confined factory environments and machinery.
