Interface Panels Are User-Configurable

Sept. 1, 1998

User-configurable function keys with LED indicators, a 2- or 4-line 20-character display for up to 160 user-defined messages, annunciator lamps, and setpoint display capability are all features of five new 400-Series OptiMate operator interface panels. The NEMA-4-rated panels require a panel cutout area of 3.2" high x 5.1" wide. The panels support the company's full range of PLCs, as well as Allen-Bradley SLC 500 family 5/03 and 5/04 PLCs. They enable users to install an operator interface with just one cable instead of hardwiring pushbuttons, lights and seven-segment displays. The panels support point-to-point RS-232 communication.
