The OBF photoelectric amplifier and a broad line of fiber optic cables which offer maximum flexibility in almost any application, are both available. The OBF photoelectric amp can be fitted with thru-beam or reflective fiber optic cables and is particularly suited for assembly automation and packaging applications. It has a single LED for marginal signal strength. If signal strength degrades because of dirt or misadjustment, the display provides a warning. The compact unit can be mounted or snapped into a DIN rail. Also, 19 cut-to-fit fiber optic cables include: a light-curtain array for sensing small objects; a unit with a bendable tip that can be snaked into tight spots; a tip with an integrated lens to provide four to five times longer sensing ranges; a right-angle tip; and a background suppression unit with a focal length of 6 mm. Each cable can be cut to fit in the field with an optional cutting tool. The OBF amp is available in micro- and cabled DC-PNP and DC-NPN.
