Handheld Meter Measures RF Power In Analog & Digital Systems

May 1, 2000

The Model 5000 RF power meter is claimed to be the first handheld directional RF power meter to combine a digital display with the ability to accurately measure power in both analog and digital systems. Measuring just 8" x 4-5/8" x 1-3/4" and weighing only 4 lb., the instrument offers a backlighted digital display and provides average, true average or peak measurements from 0.1W to 10,000W with an accuracy of ±5%. The meter operates at frequencies from 0.45 to 3600 MHz and automatically calculates VSWR, return loss, and match efficiency. An intuitive menu-driven interface allows users to master the instrument quickly, and five speed keys initiate common functions.
