The DMB Series of inverters provides backlighting for large LCDs having up to four cold cathode fluorescent tubes (CCFTs). The closed-loop design permits powering the units from an unregulated supply without worrying about variations in light output. The design also is less sensitive to output loading and so is relatively immune to small changes in wiring capacitance and thus flicker. The series features an efficiency of up to 90%. It has an optimized form factor for direct connection to 17" and 18" flat panel displays. The series has a hybrid construction to provide durability. Pricing is less than $50 each/1000.
