Interference-free communication in electrically noisy environments is delivered with this fiber-optic headset. The headset uses an optical system that converts between acoustic signals and a modulated light intensity signal. Since no electrical signal is present in the headset or fiber optic cables, the fiber optic headset provides secure and interference-free communications in electrically hazardous conditions.
The low light loss in the fiber allows cable lengths to 1500 meters with no need for intermediate amplification. The headset, which can be manufactured without any metallic components, is also suitable for use in MRI environments. Call for pricing.
