Offered with several enhancements, the company has released version 6.1 of its development toolkit for machine vision, medical imaging, and image analysis. The JPEG codec in MIL 6.1 is claimed to perform up to 400% faster than the previous version and offers more flexibility and image fidelity. Depending on hardware, the application enables non-destructive graphics overlay of live video with no host-CPU intervention and can eliminate tearing artifacts present during live video display. Other enhancements include new symbologies in its Bar & Matrix Code Module: Datamatrix, PDF417, BC412 and CODABAR. The software is available and now and the full package costs $3995.
