The CMD3XLB is an illumination control ASIC that manages the key performance parameters of the LED illumination systems and display common voltage generation for the company's microdisplay products. It has a three-wire serial control/data interface to direct the red, green and blue LEDs and also includes integrated DACs for managing the common voltage and the resultant electro-optic performance of the display. The ASIC is compatible with the company's SVGA and QVGA microdisplays and can be utilized in monocular, binocular and stereoscopic headset applications as well as in all viewfinder designs. The controller is housed in a 24-pin TSSOP package measuring 7.8 x 6.4 x 1.1 mm.
