The 9892FR thermally-conductive tape combines acrylic adhesive with conductive ceramic particles to provide a reliable and easy-to-use thermal interface material. Measuring 40 mils thick, the tape is said to be the industry's thickest, with the extra thickness helping users meet moderate thermal conductivity and gap-filling requirements.
The thermal interface tape is designed for bonding heatsinks to a wide variety of heat-generating component, such as IC packages, PCBs, and plasma-type flat-panel displays. Permanent yet reworkable bonding occurs quickly, and the tape conforms to non-flat and irregular surfaces. Improved surface contact helps achieve high bond strength and low thermal interface resistance between the two substrates without the use of clamps, brackets and screws.
