The distinctive optical and cosmetic qualities of blue LEDs are being tapped by a new family of digital panel meters (DPMs) for the commercial/industrial instrumentation markets. More specifically, the DPMs are expected to offer manufacturers of medical instruments a competitive alternative to blue vacuum fluorescent displays.
Supporting the LEDs in the DMS-30PC-BS Series of meters are two, tight-tolerance, bandgap voltage references and multiple, precision, metal-film resistors. And an auto-zeroing circuit ensures a zero display reading with a zero-voltage input. Four high-impedence, differential input voltage ranges are available: ±200 mV, ±2V, ±20V and ±200V. The four DMS-30PC-BS models are housed in blue, epoxy-encapsulated packages measuring just 2.17" x 0.92" x 0.56". Price: $65 for singles and $39 each for 500 pieces.
