Designed as a wide-viewing-angle, top-view, surface-mount LED, the 1104B can be employed in a variety of status indicator or display backlighting applications. The device features a 120° viewing angle with a typical luminous intensity of up to 120 mcd, depending on color. It is available in red, orange, yellow, green, blue-green and blue and has an operating temperature range of -40°C to 100°C.
Other features of the LED include 80 to 125 mW power dissipation, 20 to 50 mA forward current, 50 to150 mA peak forward current, and a 4V to 5V reverse voltage. Derating is 0.5 to 0.75 mA/°C. Designed using a standard PLCC-2 package having a 2.2 mm x 2.8 mm footprint, the LED is available on EIAJ-standard ETX-7001 reels and is compatible with dip and reflow soldering equipment, with a peak temperature exposure of 240°C for up to 5 seconds.
