The compact, 11.6" x 15" x 4.9" Model 5105A 150-MHz storage oscilloscope is said to combine the features of a high-end digital scope with those of an analog scope, with the user having merely to press a single button to change from one mode of operation to the other. The unit's digital scope offers a 200-MS/s sampling rate, and its display is said to be sharp and clear. Upon start-up, the analog/digital storage scope automatically undergoes a diagnostic self-test to ensure proper operating conditions. An autoset feature provides automatic set-up of time base, vertical axis, and trigger parameters of the signal being measured. The user can then readjust the time base and vertical axis as required. Up to 17 automatic measurements are displayed by readouts on the screen. The unit also has the ability to store waveforms for analysis, to view or store pre-trigger information, and to detect/display/capture complex waveforms. Price: $2,295.
