Offered as a low-cost alternative to comparable LCDs, the PC6222C2 provides a 90 x 40-pixel monochrome display suitable for portable products. Measuring just 35.5 x 27.7 x 1.7 mm, the module has an effective display area of 32.5 x 17.8 mm. The display is a high-contrast FSTN type operating in a reflective mode and includes an LCD driver/controller chip mounted directly to the glass panel. Display control functions include on/off, normal/reverse, LCD bias contrast set controls, power save, and 132 x 65 graphics display data RAM. Operating temperature range is from -10¡C to 55¡C. The module allows for a parallel, eight-bit interface to either an 8080 or 6800 processor with connection via an FPC cable with hot-bar solder. A serial interface may be used as an alternative.
