Said to solve the problems associated copper-based interconnects, the nLIGHTEN 1.6 Gb/s, parallel optic modules are 12-channel, 850 nm VCSEL-based links that transfer an aggregate bandwidth of 19.2 Gb/s (1.6 Gb/s per channel). Transfer distance is up to 300m. The 1.6 Gb/s modules are an extension of the standard nLIGHTEN 1.25 Gb/s modules, produced from the same manufacturing platform.
