New enclosures have been developed for use in harsh outdoor environments as well as in industrial plants. With a NEMA 4X rating, the Model OD45 enclosure is useful for equipment that must be cleaned in place. The enclosure, constructed of UV stable 94V-2 polycarbonate, is waterproof and is suited for a wide range of applications, including outdoor security system stations, outdoor wireless communication units, access controls, control and security sensors, cameras, IR detectors, outdoor lighting controls, and other equipment. Measuring 3.5" x 6.7" x 1.8 ", the enclosure is comprised of a bottom cover with mounting flanges for surface-mounting and a top cover. The top cover has a recessed area for incorporating keypads, membrane switches, displays, and overlays. Moisture and liquids are kept out by a gasket used to seal the joint between covers.
