A new synchronous serial interface LED display has been designed with six 15-mm high digits and adjustable brightness control. The Kubler SSI display can be used with either an ac or dc power supply and is suitable for all SSI formats up to 25 bits. It can be used for SSI clock frequencies ranging from 100 Hz to 1 MHz. The device is available either with an analog output (4-20 mA, 0 to 10V, ±10V, ±10V) or with two programmable transistor outputs (pnp or npn). Both the display and the outputs can be adjusted using scaling and offset features. The display can be switched between gray and binary codes and between master or slave operation. It is available in a 96 mm x 48 mm x 140 mm DIN housing and has an IP 65 rating. Standard plug-in screw terminals are used for wiring connections. TURCK INC., Minneapolis, MN. (800) 544-7769.
