Two extended temperature display heads have been designed to suit the needs of avionics applications and ruggedized display application requirements. The LC050 and LC056 displays, designed at 5" and 5.6" diagonal, include sunlight readable head assemblies with backlighting for harsh environments. Both display heads include a thin-film transistor color active matrix LCD, 4:3 aspect ratio, and 1/4 VGA 320 x 234 resolution. Each display is equipped to accept two channels of RGB analog input, NTSC composite video, and S-video. Both the LC050 and LC056 have an operating temperature from –40°C to +85°C. The company’s patented Super Bright Low Reflectance technology is said to achieve optimal readability in bright sunlight. Viewing angle for both units is ±55° H, +35°/-55° V at 5-to-1 C/R.
