Bolstering the WaveRunner 6000A series digital-storage oscilloscopes, the CANbus TD and CANbus TDM options allow the scopes to locate CAN Bus physical layer problems and debug related controllers and systems. The options allow users to correlate physical layer signals with protocol-layer information. The CANbus TD combines standard oscilloscope capabilities, CAN Bus triggering, and protocol decode in one test system. It reportedly simplifies the capture of a specific CAN message or error frame and allows the user view protocol data on the same display as the CAN analog signals. For expanded functionality, the CANbus TDM adds measurement and graphing capability to CANbus TD triggering and decoding capabilities.
