The PWBSP-16 broadband-signal processor eases the development of systems for decoding streaming video including IPTV set-top boxes, video conferencing, surveillance, and digital video recording. The device is C/C++ programmable to support a wide range of video and audio codecs and eliminate the need for assembly code programming. Codec support includes Windows Media 9, SMPTE VC-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, Baseline and Main Profile (AVC), Real Audio and Video, and H.263 and H.323. Integrated features include a DDR-SDRAM controller, display-refresh controller, co-processors, video filter, 3DES engine, multi-channel audio encode/decode via four I2S audio inputs and eight I2S audio outputs, and network and peripheral controllers for Ethernet, IDE, and NAND flash.
