Said to be a first in PLED character modules, the company’s latest module is claimed as the industry’s largest, with a 20 character x 4-row display. The component features a Samsung KS0066 and Hitachi HD44780-compatible LCD interface and offers a contrast ratio in excess of 100:1 and virtually no viewing angle limitations. Designed to replace 20 x 4 LED-backlight displays, the PLED module offers a thinner profile and, reportedly, much better contrast ratio. Applications include handheld scanners, instruments, POS terminals, and medical and industrial devices. Additionally, the display is configured for a single power supply and is accessible via 4-bit or 8-bit parallel data interfaces. Price $16 each/1,000. ONE STOP DISPLAYS, Winter Park, FL.
