The company's 3.5" system-on-glass (SOG) LCD module sports a quarter high-definition (QHD) array of 960 x 540 pixels, enabling the reproduction of images in resolutions over 300 pixels per inch. Integration of semiconductor systems on the glass substrate contributes to the module's small size, while technology based on low-temperature polysilicon contributes to its narrow frame. According to the company, the SoG LCD offers a breakthrough for mobile device designers who want high-resolution displays but must keep the overall design size small. The module delivers a color gamut that exceeds 100% of the NTSC color space and a luminance level of 350 cd/m2. Samples are scheduled for the first quarter of 2007.
