Addressing the high-bandwidth needs of consumer video products, the company has expanded its high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) switch portfolio with four active high-bandwidth differential switches for multi-source or multi-sink video applications including TV, monitor, set-top box, switch box, and game consoles. Each of the switches, the PI3HDMI341ARx, PI3HDMI412AD, PI3HDMI421AR, and PI3HDMI411AD, provide 1080p video support with a 12-bit color depth per channel and allow for switching as many as three ports to a single display over cables as long as 20m. Features include active 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, or 1:2 mux/demux configurations depending on the device, HDMI revision 1.3 compliance, configurable pre-emphasis, de-emphasis, and output swing control, data rates of 2.5 Gb/s per channel, 8 kV of contact ESD protection, internal pull-down transistors, and switching support for three side-band signals (SDA, SCL, and HPD).
