Promising high-end RF and microwave performance in a smaller package and with a lower price tag, the 3250 Series spectrum analyzers measure frequencies from 1 kHz to 26.5 GHz. Four models in the series specify a frequency range beginning at 1 KHz with the 3251 ranging up to 3 GHz, the 3252 to 8 GHz, the 3253 to 13.2 GHz, and the 3254 to 26.5 GHz. All models support the Windows XP operating system, remote control capabilities via LAN, GPIB, RS-232C, and a 7” touch-panel screen. Three traces are displayable per window and users can select as many as nine markers with a marker table viewable in an alternate window. The series includes digital demodulation capabilities for the analysis of 802.11a, b and g wireless networks and optional measurement personalities are available including GSM/EDGE, WCDMA, WiMax, WLAN, and EMC pre-compliance tests. Other features include channel and multi-channel power, pulsed measurement, gated sweep, occupied bandwidth, spectrum emission mask, TOI measurement, THD, AM/FM and digital demodulation analysis, X-dB down, and phase noise measurement. Price for a starting configuration for the 3250 Series is approximately $15,000. AEROFLEX INC., Plainview, NY. (800) 835-2352.
