A new line of “green” 500-W power supplies developed by TDK-Lambda Americas combines high efficiency, high power density, and low standby power consumption (< 0.5 W, no load) to meet the demands of today’s industrial, broadcast, and communications applications. The ac-dc, forced air-cooled GWS500 supplies achieve up to 90% efficiency, dramatically cutting the heat generated in LED, display/signage, IT, traffic controls, and other similar applications. Measuring 4.1 by 8.6 in., and 1.6 in. high, the GWS500 fits well into 1U enclosures. The six supplies in the series (5-, 7.5-, 12-, 24-, 36-, and 48-V nominal outputs) feature user-adjustable outputs to accommodate non-standard system voltages. All GWS500s comply with the European ErP (Energy-related Products) Directive. TDK-LAMBDA AMERICAS.
