The USB-2405, a four-channel USB 2.0 dynamic signal-acquisition module, features a built-in integrated electronics piezoelectric (IEPE) excitation current source that provides 2 mA on each AI channel, as well as BNC connectors. As a result, ADLINK Technology’s module can deliver high accuracy and dynamic performance for microphone and accelerometer measurement in vibration and acoustic applications. The USB-2405 supports four analog input channels simultaneously, sampling up to 128 ksamples/s. Dynamic range measures 100 dB, with −94 dB total harmonic distortion (THD) of dynamic performance. Built-in anti-aliasing filters enable automatic adjustment of filter cutoff frequency to the sampling rate, thus suppressing out-of-band noise and avoiding measurement distortion. Autocalibration ensures accuracy and helps minimize temperature drift in the field (max gain drift of 11 ppm/°C).  Built-in direct digital synthesis generates a programmable sample clock that enables a resolution of 3x10-4 samples per second. A lockable USB enhances connectivity. The module supports external digital/analog trigger source and flexible trigger modes.
