Allied Motion Dordrecht announces the availability of an improved version of the proven brushless KinetiMax 54 motor series. The new 54 mm diameter KinetiMax 54 EB outer rotor motor with integrated drive electronics now has bidirectional speed control, overtemperature protection, and reverse polarity protection.

These improvements together with its robust bearing system, capable of withstanding high side loading, its speed adjustability (300 to 4000 RPM) and speed output signal (36 pules per rev) ensure that the new KinetiMax 54 EB will continue as a favorite choice among designers as it has been for over 10 years in a broad range of applications in medical, instrumentation, vehicle, factory automation and other markets where a minimum operating life of 20.000 hours is a benefit.

The KM54 EB is available in two sizes with two power ratings, 10 and 16 Watts continuous at rated speed of 3900 RPM, and two supply voltage ratings, 12 and 24 VDC. Rated torque is 30 mNm continuous for the shorter length model and 40 mNm for the longer length version. The KM54 EB complies with the EN55014- 1/2 en 61000-6-1/3 EMC standard. Apart from the standard models, Allied Motion also offers customer-specific versions of the KinetiMax 54 EB.
