BLDC NEMA 34 Motor with IP65 and Integrated Encoder

Feb. 10, 2014
Nanotec Electronic, U.S, Inc. launches the new BLDC motor ASB87.

The ASB87 BLDC brushless motor from Nanotec Electronic, U.S, Inc. was developed specifically for rugged environments. The 3-phase motor with a size of 87 mm (Nema 34) is IP65-rated except for the shaft exit, it has a built-in 1024 CPR magnetic encoder. Complete IP65 rating with shaft seal is available for OEM customers upon request.

The ASB87 is in addition to our very popular ASB42 Nema17 BLDC motor. The ASB42 is very popular with OEM customers because of the competitive price and ease of installation with the quick disconnect connectors. The magnetic 1024 CPR incremental encoder is built into the housing and is perfect for rugged industrial environments on account of its design. The fact that this encoder does not require additional hall sensors enhances its reliability. The reference signal is synchronous to the hall phase for even more exact positioning.

Its maximum speed is 3000 rpm with a nominal output of 250 watts. Its peak torque is 2 Nm all in a very compact 129mm total length.
