It won't improve your golf game, but it may let your golf cart traverse hills a bit better. The Going Green Solar Panel targets golf carts but works just as well with RVs, duck boats, or similar recreational equipment. It sticks to roofs via an adhesive backing and weighs 7 lbs. The device comes with a choice of 12, 24, 36, 48 or 72-V controller. The Thin Film Amorphous Silicon Solar System is designed to charge a 12-24-36-48-72 or 96-V battery systems by supplying a minimum of 2.0 A constantly directly to a 36 or 48-V battery bank. Extended tops systems will supply a minimum of 3-4 A constantly. The controller unit mounts somewhere in the engine compartment and connects to the battery posts via clamps.
Earth Care Products says that two years of field test and endurance testing have shown the cells boost cart battery life by 25-50% and let the battery stay charged for 60% longer than otherwise.
