Advanced Analogic Technologies’ AAT4282A is a dual, slew-rate-controlled load switch that allows designers to reduce parts count and cost. Part of AnalogicTech’s Application Specific Power MOSFET (ASPM) product family, the AAT4282A features two MOSFETs, each with a typical RDS(ON) of 60 mΩ at 5 V. Designed for high-side load-switching applications, the AAT4282A supports both 3-V and 5-V systems by operating from a 1.5-V to 6.5-V input range, and quiescent current is 1 μA. Input logic levels are both TTL and 2.5-V to 5-V CMOS compatible.

The AAT4282A features a slew-rate selector pin that allows the designer to switch between fast and slow slew rates on the same device, and is available in three versions. The AAT4282A-1 is a slew-rate limited load switch. The AAT4282A-2 offers turn-on capabilities of less than 500 ns and turn–off capabilities of less than 3 µs typical; the AAT4282A-3 adds a minimized slew rate, limited turn-on function, as well as a shutdown output-discharge circuit to rapidly turn off a load when the switch is disabled. The AAT4282A is available in an eight-pin FTDFN22-8 package, and sells for $1.07 in 1000-unit quantities.
