CPES-VT Offers Power Electronics Short Courses

CPES-VT will offer three power electronics short courses designed for professional engineers

This summer, CPES-VT will offer three power electronics short courses designed for professional engineers. A two-day course, “EMI Reduction for Power Electronics Systems,” will be held July 31 and August 1 with Drs. Fred C. Lee and Shuo Wang as course instructors.

Then, August 4 through 8, Dr. Lee and Dr. Dushan Boroyevich will teach a five-day short course on “Modeling & Control Design of DC-DC Converters.” Taught in a combined lecture/lab format, this course is limited to 16 participants to ensure proper access to workstations in the lab sessions.

The final course in this series is a a 3-day short course titled “Design of DC-DC Converters and Voltage Regulator Modules (VRMs),” which will be held August 11 through 13 with Dr. Lee and Dr. Ming Xu as course instructors. For more details, see http://www.cpes.vt.edu/public/news
