Linear Technology’s LTC3862 is a 2-phase boost controller that delivers high output power, enabling up to 12 power stages (12 phases) to be paralleled and clocked out-of-phase to minimize input and output filtering requirements.

Efficiency: controller can regulate a 48-V at 5-A output with up to 97% efficiency from an input source ranging from 12 V to 36 V using only two-phases
Features: peak-current mode architecture allows easy loop compensation and multi-phase operation with accurate phase-to-phase current matching; fixed programmable operating frequency from 75 kHz to 500 kHz; synchronizable with phase-lock-loop from 50 kHz to 650 kHz; adjustable soft-start; programmable maximum duty cycle; on-board 5-V LDO; undervoltage lockout protection; a precise RUN pin threshold with programmable hysteresis; user-adjustable leading edge blanking.
Operating temperature range: -40°C to 85°C, -40°C to 125°C, or -40°C to 150°C
Packaging: narrow SSOP-24 and 5-mm x 5-mm QFN-24 packages
