From Texas Instruments, the TPS40210 is a 4.5-V to 52-V nonsynchronous boost controller for industrial and battery-powered applications where the output is a regulated current instead of a regulated voltage. The device, which uses fixed-frequency current-mode control, supports design configurations that require a grounded source n-channel FET, including boost, flyback and SEPIC topologies.
