Recovery Diodes Handle 900A Surges

July 1, 2000
The 9AF press-fit standard recovery diodes have a voltage rating up to 600V and a current rating to 50A. These brute-force diodes can handle surge currents in excess of 900A in 60-Hz systems and up to 892A in 50-Hz systems, making them suitable for

The 9AF press-fit standard recovery diodes have a voltage rating up to 600V and a current rating to 50A. These brute-force diodes can handle surge currents in excess of 900A in 60-Hz systems and up to 892A in 50-Hz systems, making them suitable for industrial applications, such as welding and battery charging systems. The devices come in dual polarity configurations and they can be easily paralleled. Operating temperatures range from -55°C to +175°C, with the devices available as discretes or as part of a rectifier assembly based on the user's specification. The 9AF diodes are available with data sheets, reliability report, and UL qualification file number.
