Incorporating a proprietary DMOS architecture that boasts of significant improvements over other regulator designs, the REG103 low-dropout regulator requires no output capacitor for stability. The device operates with very little difference between input and output voltages. Other features include an output current up to 500 mA, a drop-out voltage of 125 mV typical at 500 mA, an output voltage of 3.3V, a noise figure of 33 µVrms, and over-temperature and over-current protection. Packaged in a SO-8, SOT223-5 and DDPAK-5, the REG103 low-dropout regulator is priced at $1.29 each/1000 with delivery from stock.
