The MIC2755 battery system supervisor is also a system management IC for battery-operated portable systems. It can detect and report up to three battery states, including power-on reset and manual reset capabilities. It can also control the system's power converter.
Input bias currents are as low as 5 pA typical and the inputs and output can be pulled above VDD without adverse effects or additional current drain. Trip voltages and hysteresis are adjusted with external resistors, allowing the user to set any voltage trip points for any amount of hysteresis. Other features include a current consumption of 2 µA typical, separate VDD and monitoring inputs, and an operating temperature range of from -40°C to 85°C. The device comes in an 8-pin plastic MSOP and is priced at $1.30 each.
