In a 12-pin MLPQ package measuring 4 mm x 4 mm, the AS7620 32V buck regulator specifies a 30 µA quiescent current and a 100% duty cycle plus it integrates a dual-power monitor. The device provides both early-power-fail warnings and power-good signals to microcontrollers in the advent of a power failure or brownout condition. It delivers up to 500 mA and is available with a fixed 3.3V output or an adjustable output between 1.2V and VIN. Other features include an input voltage range from 3.6V and 32V, efficiency rate up to 93%, operating temperature from -40°C to +85°C, and a pin-selectable peak-current limit. Additionally, the device is compatible with a wide range of low-profile inductors and ceramic capacitors and does not require compensation. Price for the AS7630 is $1.36 each.
