Specified as having a low dropout voltage of 145 mV at 150 mA, the TC2014, 2015, 2054, 2055, 2185 and 2186 low dropout regulators (LDOs) operate from a supply current of 55 µA. the TC2014, 2015 and 2185 provide a reference bypass input for reducing output noise. The TC2054, 2055 and 2186 include an /ERROR output that can be used as a low-battery indicator or a microprocessor reset. The TC2014 and 2054 have a maximum output current of 50 mA, the TC2015 and 2055 deliver 100 mA maximum, and the TC2185 and 2186 provide up to 150 mA maximum. All six devices are available in a five-pin SOT-23A and, depending on the device, prices range from $0.62 to $0.76 each/1,000. MICROCHIP TECHNOLOGY INC., Chandler, AZ. (480) 792-7668.
