Taking up little space in portable designs, a family of six p-channel smart switches and simple MOSFETs come in the company's Teeny SC70-6 and SOT143-4 packages. The MIC94060 and MIC94061 smart load switches feature a typical on-resistance of 77 m_ and 100 m_ maximum. They can handle up to 2A of continuous current, and built-in level-shift circuitry accommodates logic signals as low as 1.5V. An internal slew-rate control prevents inrush currents from causing noise upon turn on. The MIC94061 includes an output pull-down circuit that discharges a capacitive load when the switch is turned off. Both devices have a quiescent current of 2 µA when on and less than 1 µA of shutdown current in the off state. The MIC94052 and MIC94053 simple p-channel MOSFETs provide a typical on-resistance of 70 m_ and a maximum of 84 m_. Also p-channel devices, the MIC94050 and MIC94051 feature a typical on-resistance of 125 m_ and 160 m_ maximum. Depending on the device, prices range from $0.38 to $0.50 each/1,000.
