The SVH series half-brick, high-efficiency dc-dc converters offer up to 40-A current output. They target various applications, such as industrial electronics, mobile communications, and distributed power equipment. With a wide input voltage range of 36 to 75 V, the units are available with output voltages of 1.5, 1.8, 2.5, 3.3, 5.0, or 12 V. All models feature an input filter, input undervoltage lockout, output overvoltage and overtemperature protection, output current limiting, and short-circuit protection. Output regulation is typically ±1%, and ripple and noise are less than 100 mV at 20 MHz. The converters have a 100-V input transient capability of 100 ms. Additional features include an on/off pin with remote sensing, output adjustment of ±10%, and a mean time before failure of 1.5 million hours at 50°C. The SVH series converters cost $39 each in OEM quantities of 1000 to 5000. Typical lead time is four to six weeks.
