Designed to future-proof analog and digital satellite receiver set-top box designs, the low-noise block-voltage regulator (LNBR) A82xx family features legacy system compatibility and provides two-way DiSEqC (Digital Satellite Equipment Control) communications. The A8281 and A8282 feature an integrated FET, LNB selection, a stand-by function, 22 kHz oscillator, auxiliary modulation input, LNB short-circuit protection and diagnostics, and over-temperature and reverse-current protection. The A8282 includes cable-length compensation. Otherwise similar to their relatives, the A8285 and A8287 feature load currents up to 500 mA and I2C interfaces. The A8287 includes a 22 kHz tone detector. Prices range from $1.47 to $1.91 each/1,000. ALLEGRO MICROSYSTEMS INC., Worchester, MA. (508) 853-5000
