Tooled for portable products requiring ultra-low-current consumption, the CMOS-based S-1167 regulators exhibit a typical operating current of 9 µA. The devices feature a low-voltage dropout of 150 mV, voltage accuracy of ±1%, and a ripple-rejection rate of 70 dB. Input voltage ranges from 2V to 6.5V, yielding an output voltage from 1.5V to 5.5V, selectable in 0.1V steps. Added features include a shutdown circuit and over-current protection. Price is $0.34 each/10,000. For more details, contact Jim Schlumpberger at SEIKO INSTRUMENTS USA INC., Torrance, CA. (310) 517-7884.
