The IRS212x family of 600V high-voltage integrated circuits (HVICs) include a comprehensive set of protection features including under-voltage lockout protection, over-current detection and protection, and fault reporting. The chips provide a gate voltage up to 20V, typical turn-on current of 290 mA, typical turn-off current of 600 mA, and they accept input logic levels of 3.3V, 5V, and 15V. An advanced high-voltage IC process platform, called G5 HVIC, enables a host of improvements in reliability due to silicon technology and packaging enhancements. The surface mount SO-8 packages are qualified to MSL2 (moisture sensitivity level 2), while all other surface mount packages are MSL3 qualified. Additionally, the HVICs are qualified to the J-STD-020C standard. Pricing begins at $0.79 each/100,000. INTERNATIONAL RECTIFIER, El Segundo, CA. (310) 252-7726.
