This low supply current (11 µA typ. at VOUT = 3V), low dropout linear regulator has a maximum input voltage range of 10V and a maximum output current at 3V of 150 mA. And the device’s CMOS construction eliminates wasted ground currents typical of bipolar regulators, increasing system efficiencies and battery operating times. The TC56 LDO features excellent line regulation (0.2%/V typ.), low temperature drift (±100 ppm/°C typ.), and short-circuit protection. And its shutdown mode results in supply current falling to a mere 0.1 µA max. The LDO is available in factory-programmed output voltage settings of 2.1V to 5.0V in 100 mV increments and comes housed in a space-saving 5-pin SOT-23A package.
